I recently took a Carnival cruise to St. Thomas and was told about the Bushwacker.  My family and I went to Main Street to shop, and we saw a small narrow ally that was somewhere in the middle of Main Street. There was a small bar and grill type place that had a couple tables outside and then seating inside.  I ordered a Bushwacker and some food.  Well after we ate and got our bill, our server handed me their business card which had their Bushwacker recipe on the back.  He also said the owners originated from Massachusetts.  The recipe as i recall had 5 liquors total.  Could someone please shed some light as to what the name of the place is, it's recipe, or it's phone number.  thank you!  I'm looking for this recipe specifically because i know each place has it's own variation.  I ordered two on the ship, and they weren't the same as the one on the island, nor were they as strong. Here's a link to a picture of the ally.  http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=2905467&albumID=465762&imageID=70029562

Thank you very much, but I have that recipe already. Im looking specifically for the one described above if anyone can help
  1.
That's Paradise Points' Recipe, they've served over a million of them and is considered to be THE recipe. I don't know which place you went to but it sounds like http://coconutsvi.com/. Hope that helps.
  2.
I learned this trip that Harry Jack the Bartender @ the Bolongo Beach Resort actually invented and patented this drink. He was having eye surgery when we were down so he wasn't around, we missed him. Mel

that's odd.  I heard it was invented in Pensacola, Florida in the 70's. http://www.sandshaker.com/about/about.htm

Thank you very much.  That was the place i was looking for.
  3.
Last post is correct. The Bushwacker was invented in Pensacola. Period . All others are knock-offs. The Sandshaker and Paradise Bar & Grill make the best. They add an extra shot of Bacardi 151 on top. Pensacola is ground zero for the Bushwacker. Do a search for Pensacola Bushwacker to get the correct and original recipe.

As a former bartender at one of the more popular places that I'm sure you've heard of, i can tell you the liquors are: Bailey's Dark Rum Amaretto Frangelico-(Hazel nut liquor) Kahlua-(Coffee Liquor)
