Mountain Top, Winner of Best of St. Thomas 2008 Award
Best view that is. I’m really not sure these guys will EVER be able to lose this award. The view from Mountain Top is breathtaking!
Check out this YouTube vid (we did not make this and the commentator only asks one question…How is the banana daiquiri? You might even turn your volume off and just take it in) But it’s nice because you can see the view they have and the shops they offer.
We met with Christina Rhodes the Chief Operating Officer of Mountain Top. Very sweet and enthusiastic about what she does. Christina came to St. Thomas via Michigan almost 3 years ago (another smart cookie for runnning away from snow and ice).
Most of Christina’s customers are tourists coming straight off a Safari Taxi via one of the cruise ships. So they only stay open until 4:30ish (island time ya know). The tourists really can’t get enough of the foo-foo drinks and that’s why Mountain Top is now famous for their Banana Daiquiri. She told us that just last week they sold 490 in one day! Damn, that’s a lot of blendering (just made that up). That doesn’t include all the OTHER drinks they served that day. The cruise shippers left happy for sure.

I went to the Mountain Top on November 5, 2007. I have some photos of the same views you show on your page. I’m trying to find someone who I can buy the mixer for the banana daiquiri. I had a non-alcoholic one and it was exceptional. I think about the freshness of the ingredients all the time and I’m hoping to meet someone who is either from there are going there to bring me back the mixer. If anyone knows someone going there, let me know.

We were there in April of 09 and was wonderful was so sad to hear just after we left it burned down….. i hope they can rebuild, it was a great place, i wanted to buy one of those multi skirts, and did not, and now i don’t know where to get them…….
